Laser Specialist

A laser technician and esthetician at The Finery provides laser tattoo removal and skin care treatments using our state-of-the-art suite of lasers, including the Revlite, Spectra, PoicoPlus and PicoWay. Candidates for the laser technician/esthetician position are expected to give thorough client assessments during consultations, answer all client questions and concerns with the utmost care, and perform follow up calls and emails with clients as requested. Individuals in this role will execute laser procedures in accordance with The Finery’s treatment protocols, accurately document results in a timely fashion, and promptly report treatment incidents or maintenance issues.

The perfect candidate is a problem solver with excellent customer service skills. They can balance team and individual responsibilities, and see value in others’ ideas and opinions. The ideal laser technician/esthetician is dependable and accountable.

SUMMARY: Provides laser tattoo removal and skin care treatments with both the Revlite, Spectra, Picoway, Picopluse, and Picoway. Additional lasers may be introduced in the future.

  • Provides a professional assessment of the patient following all clinical protocols; document results in a timely, accurate manner.
  • Explains the procedure to the patient and answers all patient questions.
  • Promptly seeks guidance from physician or supervisor in the event of unusual circumstances.
  • Executes laser procedure with attention to safety of the patient and clinician via treatment protocols
  • Promptly reports treatment incidents or maintenance issues in accordance with protocols.
  • Transmits videos and photographs and participates in weekly technician meetings.
  • Completes clinical documentation upon delivery of any procedure.
  • Performs follow-up calls/e-mails with patients as requested.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Current Medical Esthetician, RN, PA or nurse practitioner license and CPR certification.
  • Ability to understand and adhere to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Demonstrated competence in reacting to and handling emergencies.
  • Able to work collaboratively with multiple health professionals in a busy and complex environment using tact, diplomacy, and discipline.
  • Strong charting/documentation skills.
  • Strong computer skills such as excel.
  • Willingness to learn the Mindbody booking and file system.
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Acute attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.

PHYSICAL: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to use arms and hands to handle or feel equipment, reach with hands and arms and use upper extremity to manipulate equipment to implement treatment.
