The Finery uses two different types of cutting-edge lasers to break down your ink into particles small enough for the body to absorb—no matter what kind of tattoo or skin type you have.
Visit any location and you’re guaranteed to be treated with the safest and most efficient lasers on the market. By utilizing multiple devices and five types of short pulse wavelengths, we’re able to treat tattoos of all colors and on a wide variety of skin tones.
The Candela Picoway laser is our answer to 1064 and 532 Picosecond Technology.
The Candela PicoWay is FDA approved and has proven to cause less damage to tissue than any other laser on the market. With its dominant 1064 and 532 wavelengths, the PicoWay is especially effective at treating resistant red and black ink. The PicoWay delivers extremely short picosecond pulses of energy to the tissue. These burst of energy break up ink into tiny particles that are easily passed out of the body through the lymphatic system with minimal damage to surrounding tissues.
The PicoSure laser uses pressure wave technology to break down ink pigments into crystallized particles smaller than any other skincare laser. PicoSure is the gold standard in tattoo removal, pioneering its effective use with over 17,000 treatments annually at The Finery. No one has more practical experience with picosecond technology than The Finery. We’ve been using this technology since it was first available.
Providing safe and effective tattoo removal on a variety of ink colors the PicoSure erases unwanted and difficult color ink more effectively than ever before. Fewer treatments, faster recovery time, and greater results can be achieved thanks to this new technology.
According to Michael Davin, CEO of PicoSure (made by CynoSure), PicoSure is the only fully FDA-approved tattoo removal device that is capable of pulsating energy to the skin in trillionths of a second with both a 755 and a 532 wavelength technology. PicoSure utilizes PressureWave technology that shatters ink into particles that are 100 times smaller than the majority of tattoo removal lasers. The ink is then encapsulated and eliminated through the lymphatic system.
The results are clearer skin, with fewer treatments, without damaging the surrounding area. It also removes stubborn recalcitrant tattoos and blowouts that otherwise would not react to laser tattoo removal. PicoSure is a significant development for those who have spent time and money on tattoo removal, only to give up after experiencing poor results.
The PicoPlus Laser is a powerful picosecond laser that offers 1064 and 532 wavelength technology. The Finery is currently using the Lutronic PicoPlus on select cases in our Boston, MA Office.
The Lutronic PicoPlus is a cutting-edge picosecond laser that can remove red and black ink efficiently. This laser excels with its ability to use larger spot sizes with higher energy than other picosecond 1064/532 lasers.
Because the Picoplus utilizes a 1064 wavelength coupled with picosecond technology, it is one of the few picosecond lasers that can effectively be used to treat all skin types, including darker skin.
The Spectra Laser is a powerful laser that offers 4 different wavelengths. The Finery is currently using the Lutronic Spectra on select cases in our Boston, MA Office.
The Lutronic Spectra offers external energy calibration, auto-calibration, and self-restoration to handle any tattoo removal needs. This laser excels with its capacity to emit 4 wavelengths; 1064, 650, 585, and 532.
The Spectra is programmable, so our laser technicians can adjust the settings to meet your specific needs. The auto-detected handpieces and adjustable aiming beams aid in precision.
The Cynosure RevLite SI is a top-of-the-line traditional tattoo removal laser. Providing the versatility and power to safely remove tattoos from all skin types, its exclusive PTP system provides a unique dispersion of energy that delivers very narrow pulse widths at peak power, for efficient removal of unwanted inks. Clinical studies indicate that the PTP also offers greater efficacy and increased patient comfort.
RevLite is a Q-switched Nd: YAG laser, which emits nanosecond pulses that are 3-7 nanoseconds in length. The RevLite is an FDA approved tattoo removal device used for skin types I through VI, which means it can treat darker, Middle Eastern, and African American skin as well as light Caucasian skin tones.
Both lasers come with moderate discomfort during treatments. Similar to the feeling you’d get if you snapped a rubber band on your skin. This machine helps to take out the sting. The Zimmer Chiller significantly reduces that pain while minimizing overall skin inflammation and thermal injury.
If you’re looking to remove a tattoo quickly rather than in multiple laser treatments, this simple procedure uses a scalpel to cut the tattoo from the skin in one visit. A local anesthetic is used to minimize the pain. Depending on the size of the tattoo a skin graft might be needed. The price of the procedure will depend on the size of your tattoo. We work with a network of surgeons for The Finery who offer this service. Call us to discuss whether this option would be best for you.
